These are some simple nails I did for an event awhile back.  Since the event was for butterLONDON, it seemed fitting to use their colors for my nails!  I started with Fiver, a gorgeous mint green which is perfect for Spring and Summer.  Then I wanted to add a copper accent on it somehow.  I started with the idea of a half moon but then I decided, for whatever reason, to try out some arrows.  I used The Old Bill and a small art brush for that.  It could use some better precision, but I really loved the results!!  I hope you all enjoy them and thanks for following!!

U is for Unpredictable

I have a super pretty polish to show you for today's ABC Challenge. The letter for today was "U" and I dug out this China Glaze color that I haven't used since I originally got it. It's called Unpredictable and it's from the New Bohemian collection.  The collection was made up of mostly duo chromes and this is no exception.  It's a green to blue shift and it's just gorgeous. I also loved that these have some shimmer to them and an overall metallic effect so they're just really cool from all angles. This is two coats of Unpredictable and it's got a pretty flawless application. Happy to fall in love with this one all over again!

Bad Ass Polish Copper Waters

Today I have another swatch of Bad Ass Polish for you. This is the second of the new collection that I have for you! The first was Chocolate Covered Cherry.  This one is called Copper Waters. I want to remind you again that one of the great things about these polishes is the way they are packaged.  They come wrapped in felt inside of a super sturdy cardboard tube,


and then when you open the tube, you get a little thank you along with some directions on how to use the felt if you'd like for removal of the glitter polishes.  It's actually quite handy although it's not my glitter removal method of choice.


These tubes are wicked sturdy and they do an amazing job of protecting the polishes during transit to you or if you have to move them or if you're just clumsy like me and tend to drop things!! You can see how incredibly durable they are by watching this video of the creator, Amy, throwing the polish filled tubes into the air and letting them fall onto concrete!  Packaging aside these polishes are just gorgeous and complex.  The swatch above is three coats of Copper Waters with no base color.  It's a predominately blue and gold glitter mix, but like the other Bad Ass polishes, it has a whole host of other gorgeous colors that pop when it hits the light.  I also love that these can be layered up for full coverage or they can be easily thrown over the top of another polish, so they're very versatile.  They dry pretty smoothly as well and don't seem to eat top coat as badly as many other glitters I've had. I really can't wait to try layering this one over some other colors!!

Leather Zebra



Today's post is for the weekly Digit-al Dozen challenge!  I'm sitting most of this week out. You may have noticed that my posts are a little sparse lately, I'm going through some challenges personally and it's taking a bit of a toll on my blog (and unfortunately, the health of my nails) but I hope to be back into the swing of things very soon!  Anyway I did join in for today! This weeks theme is animal print.  These were sort of a fail and sort of a win.  I used my new Nails Inc Leather Effect polish to stamp on the zebra print.  It DID look like leather but it also didn't stamp as thickly as I thought so it wasn't as obvious as I wanted it to be.  Still it looked pretty cool!  Don't forget to check out what the other ladies came up with!

T is for Today Was A Fairytale...

Since I'm a little behind on the ABC Challenge (bad me) I've got a pretty combination to show you today!  Recently I started doing events for two major nail polish brands and one of them was Deborah Lippmann.  For my very first event I decided to do this glitter gradient.  What I really love about nude gradients like this is that they basically make your nails look like they're just growing glitter!  I also love that glitter is difficult to remove and so it protects the tips if I want to leave polish on for awhile.  It's a trick I use all the time to salvage mani's with a bit of tip wear.  I also really loved the unintentional smoky effect I got from using this particular combo.  The base in Today Was A Fairytale is a little bit tinted so it created just the slightest tinge of blue-grey.  The base color is Before He Cheats. :)

S is for Sweets to the Sweet...

I have to apologize for being SUPER late on these ABC Challenge nails! "T" will be up shortly as well. Life has gotten busy and time gets away from me!! Anyway for the letter "S" I've chosen to show you an indie polish. This is Lynderella Sweets to the Sweet and I was lucky enough to score it from an awesome nail friend, Debbie of The Crumpet. :)  Sweets to the Sweet is a milky, jelly based polish with various shapes and colors of glitter inside.  It's not super sparkly but it's oh so fun and Spring-like on your nails. Since the base is pretty light you can also layer it to create different effects. I used Lime Crime's Milky Ways here, for a softer look.
