So I got this konad plate for little flowers that looked sewn on forever ago. I thought it was so cute and then for some reason when I got it I just couldn't figure out how I wanted to use it. I hate it when that happens. But then I chipped a nail and needed a quick mani that wouldn't require a ton of effort or dry time and...voila! The stamp came to good use. I actually do like the effect though it would probably have been better in a different color. Oh well. Next time!!

Base color is OPI Mermaids Tears. Stamped flowers in butterLONDON Scoundrel using konad plate m22.

That's why her hair is so big, it's full of secrets...

Pink Wednesday is here again!! These nails were kind lazy nails and they were really more an excuse to use my new Barry M color than anything else!! They actually came out rather nice and I was pleasantly surprised with the Barry M formula. These could have been one coaters but I did two since I like to have my nails super opaque. The color was bright and shiny and the finish smooth. If I lived in Europe I'd certainly invest in more of them, but alas I do not so I'll have to hope some of my UK friends are feeling generous enough to send me more at some point!!

Base color is: Barry M in Shocking Pink. Zebra print and Cheetah Stripe on ring finger are: Nicole by OPI in Give Me the First Dance. I used konad stamp m57 for both. Enjoy and Thanks for following!

Lazy Daisies

Daisys! I'm still totally in love with this color and I wanted to use it again but I hated to leave my nails completely free of some kind of art!! So I finally broke out the nail art pens I snagged at my local dollar store and did some easy flowers. These literally took 10 minutes from start to finish INCLUDING dry time. And the base color, Victoriana is just as beautiful shiny as matte!

Base color is butterLONDON Victoriana. Freehanded flowers using LA Art Pens in White, Orange and Green Glitter.

On Wednesdays we wear pink...

I've always loved the movie Mean Girls. In fact, I have actually personally hosted a "plastics party"! And you know the number one rule of plastics is that every Wednesday they must wear pink! When I found out there was a group of polish junkies like myself who were promoting pink nails on Wednesdays, I knew I had to join. So here is my very first Pink Wednesday manicure!! French Kiss

Fifty-one followers!! I guess I'm on my way to my first give away! Thank you guys so much for following, I hope you're all enjoying learning along with me! :)

These nails were kind of lazy nails but they came out really nicely. People asked me all week long (yes, they lasted a week!) if I had acrylics. :) Really I just wanted to use my new gem stones. Normally gems fall off of my nails after a day or two but thanks to some helpful tips from a friend these lasted all week and were almost impossible to get off when I WANTED to! The trick is to use nail glue to put them on originally and then be sure to get the top coat (I used Seche Vite for this one) ALL around the gems.

There is no base coat on these. The tips are Revlon Tropical Sensation. Then I painted on two coats of Deborah Lippmann in Diamonds and Pearls and then painted flowers on with butterLONDON Primrose Hill Picnic. Then I added two gemstones and finished with two stripes of LA Colors Nail Art in Green Glitter and three coats of Seche Vite! Enjoy and thanks again for following!

It's Independence Day

There are so many things I could have done today for some super cool 4th of July nails...but unfortunatlely, I ended up with these! I celebrated with my family last night and didn't get home until close to 11:30 at which point I was so exhuasted that all I wanted to do was sleep! I had a couple of ideas of some quick and easy nails I could do but then I remembered that I had bought some Blue Shatter recently and I haven't used my Red Shatter yet so I thought it would be a good chance to do that! Easy, patriotic and actually pretty cool looking!

Base coat is Sally Hansen Xtreme in White On. Then I added two stripes of shatter using OPI Blue and Red Shatter. I used my new Out The Door topcoat which dries SUPER fast...but it's no substitute for Seche Vite. I've already chipped three nails and the tops of these still feel all bumpy due to the shatter. :/ Oh well, it's good in a pinch! Enjoy! Royal Purple

So I finally got my Royal Wedding polish awhile back and I have to say, I was pretty disappointed. Online it's described as a greige lavender glitter. In reality it's just kind of a flat purple. It takes about four coats to get it to a wearable opacity on it's own and I wasn't loving the results so I put it in my drawer for awhile and kind of forgot about it. Then a few weeks ago I was perusing the butterLONDON display at my local Ulta and spotted a color I hadn't seen before: Scoundrel. Scoundrel is a medium plum-y pink purple. I bought it right away and couldn't wait to "marry" it up with my No More Waity, Katie. And guess what....I actually LOVE the results. The color is slightly altered by the griege base of the No More Waity, Katie, but not anything serious and the little purple glitter flecks really lit up the base color. I decided to do something simple on top so I did a stamp with pearls and diamonds! Enjoy!
