This is an easy summer design that I did with MoYou London plates. I really wanted something that was summery but not too bright and bold. The green on this is more muted in real life than it looks on the photo. And it took me no time at all to throw this together! :)

Fall is here and I'm so excited for fall nails and darker colors, coffee, and bonfires. I also really love these fall plates from MoYou London! They made this look so easy and they are super easy to overlay as well. What are you most excited about this fall?

This is just a simple look I did while playing with my new Zoya's. The base on this is a nice deep shimmery navy and it reminded me of a night sky so I decided to do some fun moon art over the top. 

I'll be honest, I'm not super impressed with the Zoya Intriguing collection. Yes the colors have the same amazing formula that most Zoya's do. They are opaque in two coats and dry to a delicious, glossy shine...but the actual colors are just so disappointing, There is a cool new Pixie and other than that they're pretty much your standard shimmery colors. Nothing super exciting or new and I just felt really bored with it in general. Anyhow here's one of the standouts, Meredith, and the plate over the top is MoYou London Scandi 09. :)

I couldn't resist putting a little bee nail art over this polish from Zoya. I'm not huge on yellow polishes, my skin tone is too pink to be flattered by them.  This one is pretty and almost pastel though even though it has a nice bright kick to it as well. The little bees are just too cute floating across. ;)

Recently I got some of the Born Pretty overprint stamps. I really like the idea of these although they are a little tricky to use at first! I think it's also important to use polishes that are very opaque or designed for stamping or the design kind of gets lost. This is one of the first ones I attempted. It came out pretty decent but I can't wait to play with them some more! :)

Zoya Jubilee Holiday 2018 collection

It's here! The Zoya Jubilee collection. I did some first opinions on this collection on my YouTube channel and some swatches have been popping up on my Instagram but here it is in it's full glory.  This collection contains seven creams, one shimmer, two pixies, a glitter and a special effect topper. The special effect topper also contains Zoya's brand new Z-wide brush and I'll talk about that a little further down in the blog but for now, let me say it's really helpful when applying the topper because with very little effort you can swipe your entire nail in one go. Perfect for tricky crackles since the direction of the crack depends on the direction of your swipe! This crackle effect ONLY works as a leopard crackle over the pixies and over any other finish you'll get a standard crackle effect which you can see on my YouTube video! All of these are swatched with two coats and all with no top coat as per usual. Here we go! 










Zoya in Astrid can best be described as a liquid gold foil that adds a festive touch to any holiday look- wear as an accent or alone for optimum impact. I think this one is really pretty on it's own but it's definitely sheer so you may want to use it as a topper if you don't like that look. It is a bit warmer in person.




Zoya in Leigh can best be described as a full-coverage perfect winter nude - rich and warm cream with just a hint of pink to compliment any skintone




Zoya in Carson can best be described as a full-coverage muted nude pink cream - a beautiful shade to create an understated elegance and perfect for the cold weather months




Zoya in Maxine can best be described as a full-coverage a rich red cream with an evenly balance undertone - bright, yet still appropriate for the season




Zoya in Allison can best be described as a full-coverage plum-toned ruby cream - a more amped up version of a traditional plum shade




Zoya in Taryn can best be described as a fiery fuchsia micro-irredescent shimmer with blue undertones - a shade that brightens even the gloomiest of winter days




Zoya in Chiara can best be described as a full-coverage deep purple cream - a gorgeous compliment to the rich jewel tones of the season




Zoya in Danica can best be described as a full-coverage rich deep teal cream - a new twist on a holiday green that gives you an edgy, yet elegant look. This one is a favorite of mine and it's PERFECT for the season.




Zoya in Kateri can best be described as a full-coverage beautiful midnight brown cream - think of it as the new black! I swear when I was swatching this one I could SMELL chocolate. It's such a rich color.







Zoya in Juniper can best be described as a sparkling teal textured PixieDust- especially unique when paired with our new Leopard Spots special effect topper. (This was one of my favorites of this collection! It sparkles and changes and looks so luxe in person!)

Before we talk about the Leopard Spots topper let me show you the wide brushes. I tried to get a good picture of these (there will be videos on my insta!) but it just didn't work out so I'm using an image straight from Zoya here! You can see though, how much wider the Z-wide brush is and it's also flat versus being rounded. I love Zoya's original brush but I also have more narrow nails and I struggle a bit with wider brushes like OPI. So I wasn't like, SUPER excited for the wide brush but I think Zoya has struck a nice happy medium. It's not as thick as OPI's brush and it's not quite AS wide either (although it's still plenty wide to do my nails in ONE swipe) so it's super easy to work with and if you do happen to have a wider nail this will definitely make things easier for you. Bonus: they fit into Lippman and Butter London polish bottles so if you struggle with their brushes you can pop these in them as well. ;)  Ok on to the leopard spot topper....




While I preferred Juniper to Cookie on it's own, the topper shows up MUCH better over Cookie. You can see how it cracks and makes rounded spots. While it doesn't look exactly like leopard print from a distance and in person it's surprisingly close! Obviously no top coat on these either as it would ruin the effect.




I had issues getting a clear shot of this one for some reason but here's the topper over Juniper. In person, just because they're both so dark, it's a bit trick to see the effect. It's still really pretty but it comes across really muddled. I think with some of Zoya's lighter pixies this will be magic though!  What did you think of this collection? Zoya Charming Spring 2017

Hey guys! Today I have the Zoya Charming collection for you! This collection is so perfect for Spring. It's got three gorgeous crème shades as well as three shimmery micro-sparkle shades in soft Spring colors.  I really love the formula on them as well. These are all swatched with two coats and no top coat. They all dried to a gorgeous, shiny finish and none of them were streaky or transparent which is always a plus in my book. My camera decided to die while swatching (bummer) so you may notice that Abby has a bit of a different look but hopefully you can still see her beauty! So here we go!!


Abby by Zoya can be best described as a light lavender cream. One of my favorites of this collection. She's so soft and flattering.


Amira by Zoya can be best described as a soft dewy blue micro-sparkle. I love the sparkle in this one!


Jordan by Zoya can be best described as a soft blossom pink cream. I like that this is a pastel kind of shade but it's not baby pink.


Lacey by Zoya can be best described as a light dewy green micro-sparkle. Another wonderfully shimmery one!

Tina by Zoya can be best described as a medium amethyst cream. I think this was my favorite! Such a rich color.
Millie by Zoya can be best described as a dewy violet micro-sparkle. This one has a wonderful pink to purple shift on it! So pretty in the sun!

Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016

Hi guys! Today I have the Zoya Enchanted Holiday 2016 collection for you! I'm really excited about this one because it has FOUR Pixie Dust polishes and I love the pixies!  It also has two color-flip metallics.  I didn't have any real issues with any of them.  My brush for Lorna was a little wonky but that can happen from time to time.  The other polish I had a small issue with was Saint, one of the color flip metallics.  It's just a tad sheer for my taste. I swatched with two coats as always and you could still see some VNL.  She isn't sheer enough for layering though. On the other hand, the other color flip, Olivera, was totally opaque in one coat. My favorite ended up being Alice.  It's a lovely purple with some pink shifts in it.  The darker two of the pixie's looked like a deep, rich velvet on my nails and while Elphie fell in between she's still stunning and perfect for the upcoming holiday season.  So without further a do...here they are! Alice by Zoya can best be described as a captivating periwinkle with magenta and blue sparkles in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula.


Elphie by Zoya can best be described as a bewitching emerald green with a sugary green sparkle in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula.
 
Lorna by Zoya can be best described as a luscious berry with a sugary sparkle in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula.

 

Waverly by Zoya can best be described as a brilliantly deep sapphire blue with blue sparkles in the exclusive Zoya PixieDust Matte Sparkle formula.


Olivera by Zoya can best be described as a spellbinding color-flip metallic with an indigo base and a green and purple shift. This is one coat of Olivera.


Saint by Zoya can best be described as a whimsical color-flip metallic with a periwinkle base and magenta shift.

Dream a litte dream...

These are some quick nails I did just before I went on holiday last week.  I wanted something that was going to be pretty and sprakly in the sunshine but nothing too crazy since I knew I'd also be hiking and climbing and stuff.  I used Zoya Dream for the base which is one of my favorite polishes. The holo glitter in this one is just too pretty. Then I did a simple silver flower over the top. What kind of nails do you go for on holiday?

Zoya Urban Grunge Holo's and Metallic shades

You already saw the new Zoya Urban Grunge creme swatches and today I have the other half of the collection to show you. I was really excited to review these because the other Zoya holographic polishes I have are SO pretty.  None of the holos from Zoya are linear but they all have such depth and sparkle.  There are three holos and three metallic shades in this half of the collection.  So here we go!


First up is Ash, described by Zoya as  a vibrant cherry with a red and gold metallic shimmer. The metallics for me were super pigmented and this one was opaque in one coat. I love how bright and sparkly it is.  Don't forget to check my instagram for some video of this one as well as some matte images!


Britta is next, described by Zoya as a berry metallic with a red and purple fuchsia flash. Again this one was opaque in one coat and just LOOK at that shimmer. This one is a bit less red and a bit more pink than Ash but they're very similar otherwise. Again there are some videos and matte swatches of this one on my Instagram!


Troy was my favorite of the metallic shades. Described as a liquid pewter with a foil finish and an edgy touch of black and gold. This is another one coat one for me. I don't know why this one was my favorite but I just LOVE the depth on it. Like the others, there are matte and video of this one on my Instagram!



 Alicia is an interesting one for me. This one was quite sheer. Zoya calls her a linear holo with a touch of gold but I didn't get much of a linear effect from mine. This is three coats and it's still a touch sheer.  I love this one though because you can build it up for a nice, sparkly effect OR you can wear it with less coats for a softer look. You can also layer her over the other shades for a punch of holo. A winner in my book. Check my instagram for video of her awesome rainbow effect.



 Finley is a real stunner. This one reminds me more of polishes like Dream which is one of my most favorite Zoya shades. She's described as a deep royal purpe scattered holo and I agree with that! This is two easy coats. So gorgeous and LOOK at that shine! Video of the rainbow effect can be found on my instagram!


 Finally we have Merida. She's described as a brilliant lush evergreen scattered holo. Another really gorgeous and shiny shade. The depth on these scattered holo's is my favorite part. Zoya Urban Grunge One Coat Cremes

If you haven't been checking out my Instagram lately then you may not have seen these awesome Zoya one coat cremes yet.  These are from the new Urban Grunge collection which also contains six metallic/holographic colors (definitely check out the videos on my instagram for those!!).  I'm swatching in two parts, as usual! I love that Zoya is doing one coat polishes now because it cuts my mani time in half BUT that being said I didn't think that Courtney was truly a one coat polish. I had a few patchy spots on the first go.  If you tend to do very thin coats you'll still need to double up to get am opaque finish with these but a good medium coat will net you solid one coat coverage and a nice, shiny finish. So on to the swatches!!


August is a full coverage gray like a fine, expensive leather wit mid-ranged, balanced tone. My favorite of the collection.  I LOVE greys and this one is so soft and warm. I love this one for fall.
 

 Courtney is a deep red beet root shade with a full coverage, and smooth application. This one I had to do two coats of. But look at that shine!


Tara is a purple plum with a balanced tone between red and purple. Deeply saturated, full coverage, smooth application. Tara is a bit more purple than I could capture in my picture but she's a perfect plum tone. Another one that is absolutely perfect for fall.


 Mallory is a full bodied, Prussian blue withdeeply saturated color. Mallory was one of my most favorites from this collection!!


Noah is a mid-range taupe evenly balanced between yellow and grey, with a full coverage and smooth application.  I really love how Noah flattered my skin tone. She's a neutral but she has a nice balance so she should work great on most people.


Wyatt is a true racing green with a deep pigment, full coverage, and smooth application. Another favorite of mine! This is a perfect fall shade!  Stay tuned for the other half and be sure to check my Instagram for more pics and videos!

Zoya Seashells Summer 2016 Collection

Today I have the other half of the new Zoya summer 2016 collection for you! These are the Zoya Seashell collection. They are all new pixie finish polishes and they're all GORGEOUS! I've swatched all of these with two coats in natural light. They're much sparklier than my camera shows but  you can always check out my Instagram @Bee_Polished for some videos of them in their sparkly glory! You can also check it for two swatches of Zoya's new LIPSTICK collection. :) These were provided to me for my honest review. Here we go!!


Bay can be best described as a sky blue, textured PixieDust with fine silver and gold glitter creating a dreamy effect.

Levi can be best described as a beige gold, textured PixieDust with medium holographic hex glitter. This shade was designed to update a classic neutral pixie with a little more glam!


Linds can be best described as a cherry red, textured PixieDust with red and fuchsia glitter to mimic the look of maraschino cherries dipped in sugar!


Tilly can be best described as a starry grey, textured PixieDust with a small holographic glitter interwoven with a darker gunmetal. Perfect for hot nights out on the town!


Zooey can be best described as a classic pink, textured PixieDust laced with a fine thread of gold and medium sized holographic hexes for an added layer of dimension.


Cece can be best described as a full impact green, textured PixieDust with a thin vein of gold creating a fizzy lemon-lime effect.
