Zoya Seashells Summer 2016 Collection

Today I have the other half of the new Zoya summer 2016 collection for you! These are the Zoya Seashell collection. They are all new pixie finish polishes and they're all GORGEOUS! I've swatched all of these with two coats in natural light. They're much sparklier than my camera shows but  you can always check out my Instagram @Bee_Polished for some videos of them in their sparkly glory! You can also check it for two swatches of Zoya's new LIPSTICK collection. :) These were provided to me for my honest review. Here we go!!

Bay can be best described as a sky blue, textured PixieDust with fine silver and gold glitter creating a dreamy effect.

Levi can be best described as a beige gold, textured PixieDust with medium holographic hex glitter. This shade was designed to update a classic neutral pixie with a little more glam!

Linds can be best described as a cherry red, textured PixieDust with red and fuchsia glitter to mimic the look of maraschino cherries dipped in sugar!

Tilly can be best described as a starry grey, textured PixieDust with a small holographic glitter interwoven with a darker gunmetal. Perfect for hot nights out on the town!

Zooey can be best described as a classic pink, textured PixieDust laced with a fine thread of gold and medium sized holographic hexes for an added layer of dimension.

Cece can be best described as a full impact green, textured PixieDust with a thin vein of gold creating a fizzy lemon-lime effect.

Zoya Sunsets Collection Summer 2016

Today I have some new Zoya's for you to see!  These were provided to me for my honest review. This summer's new collection is a two part, as per usual but what's different about this one is that one half of the collection, Seashells, is new PIXIES(!) and the other half, Sunsets, is ONE COAT polishes. So lots to be excited about this year!  Today I have the Sunsets collection and later in the week I'll have the Seashell's collection for you to see.  One thing about these one coat polishes is that they ARE one coat BUT...you do need to use a medium coat to get the one coat coverage. You can also use two thin coats as you normally would. These are all swatched in natural light with no top coat as per usual. Here we go!

First up is Brynn. Described as a popsicle pink she's a bright, fun color perfect for summer!

Next we have Cam. She's a deep, fully saturated orange. Again this one is a nice, bright, summery shade.

This stunner is Dixie and while I usually am not a fan of reds and pinks I have to say I am in LOVE with this juicy watermelon red. This color is sooo super flattering!

This is Dory and much like the fish she's a vibrant cornflower blue.  This one is super bright and fun!

Then we have Liv.  She's a fun-filled purple with a slight magenta lean.  I thought this one was also really flattering.

Last but certainly not least we have Ness, a softened jade green with a hint of blue.  This one was one of my favorites but it's no secret that I love a good green!  Which one is your favorite?  Pick these up by visiting Zoya.com! :)

Bootie Babe

Today I have a  new brand of polish to show you! The brand is called Bootie Babe and they are a San Fransisco based company who offers fun colors in these little bootie shaped bottles. To be honest,  I prefer my polish bottles to be a bit more functional since these don't really store well with my others, but it's always nice to mix things up.  Their colors are also cruelty AND three free so that's nice to see as well. They sent me two colors from their upcoming collection to swatch.  I want to alert you all to an allegation that was made about their polish, before I show you the colors.  A blogger called Charity Nails It, had a very bad reaction to the polish and she posted about it on her social media sites.  This blogger previously had used Mentality polish and was unfortunately one of the people who suffered from nail lifting, discoloration, and other awful effects.  It is believed at this time that her reaction to this polish was a result of an allergy to an ingredient in the original, unaltered base of the Nubar polish and that there is NO heath risk in using them.  As with any polish or other product you put onto your nails or skin, if you feel any discomfort you should remove it immediately and cease use.  Bootie Babe immediately pulled the two colors this blogger had a reaction to and is having them tested for safety.  You can read their response here:

There have been no other reports of any issues with the polishes and I myself did not have any reaction to using them. :)  Onward to the swatches!!

This one is called Freaky Cheeky. It's a bright pink neon finish.  I used two coats here and it went on smoothly and dried to a typical, semi-matte neon finish.  The brushes on these polishes are on the thick side, like OPI, which is nice for coverage and the polish seems to be quite a bit thicker than other polishes I've used.  It's not so thick as to be a hindrance to polishing but it is noticeable.  It actually might be a nice thing for anyone who has issues with clean up because it makes it easier to control where the polish is going.

The second color I got was called Fanny Pack.  It's a magenta/purple glitter in a clear jelly base.  Same as the other it's on the thicker side but again, it wasn't difficult to apply.  I swatched it here over Zoya Liv. Overall I quite liked these polishes.  The bottles aren't my favorite but I think the thick brush and heavier consistency make them really fool proof to apply and they had great coverage.  You can check out their collection by visiting BootieBabe.com! :)

Doing donuts...

Whimsical week continues with these cute little donut nails.  These actually reminded me a lot of The Simpsons when I completed them! I intended originally to do the donuts on all my nails but I thought it needed a pop of color and I also don't love the quality of this donut stamp. :/  Be sure to check out the other girls art by clicking the links below!

A whale of a time...

So today's whimsical design is brought to you by the color blue. Lol but seriously I have no idea what inspired this one. I started with the idea of doing a grey and blue gradient and then adding clouds or little waves. After I decided on the waves then I thought maybe it needed some fish or something. I added the little whale (isn't he so cute?) and then I thought, no, it still needs something else. So then I added an octopus leg. After that it just evolved and while I love it I also think the poor little whale looks like he's about to be in a world of hurt! Please check out the other girls art below!!

Unicorns and Rainbows...

Ok not actually rainbows but still!  This week is Whimsy week with The Digital Dozen and what's more whimsical than a unicorn?  I added a little fairy here and some glitter running through that I thought would look sort of like fairy dust but in retrospect I shouldn't have done it as a gradient.  If I did it again I'd probably run it through the middle of my nail like I did with the unicorn nail. Still these were really fun AND they got some attention at my office! ;P  Please check out the other girls art below!

The Digital Dozen DOES....Whimsy!

It's time for another Digital Dozen week! This week we're doing Whimsy.  Whimsy is sort of a broad category to me, I take it to mean small, cute, fantastical...just so many things. So today I did these flowers. This is my first time attempting to do a sort of blended, two tone flower and I actually think it came out fairly well.  Florals generally aren't my thing but this reminds me of a dainty tea cup. :)  I hope you enjoy them and please check out the other ladies art below!!
