Hello Vuitton

I recently picked up a whole load of new Butter London pretties...in fact I added nine to my collection in about two days. :/ Oops!! If you follow me on Instagram you've probably already seen them but in case you haven't, my original haul include these:

Stroppy, Fash Pack, Chuffed, Silly Billy, Lolly, Teetotal, Cream Tea, Royal Navy and Wellies. Gorgeous shades all of them.  But then later I was itching to go back and snag some more!! So I did!!

The thing is...when you have so many it's hard to keep track!! So I ended up with some extras! :/ Oops! You can capitalize on my mistakes though, cause I threw the extra's into my blog sale! ;P  In any event I've been wanting to use them so today I decided to try out Teetotal. It's basically just a really pretty brown and even though I love it on my nails I thought it could use some flare.

So I jazzed it up with some gold stamping!  It's the perfect shade for this Louis Vuitton/ Hello Kitty mash up!  I matted it at first but it really dulled the gold so I decided to leave it shiny.  I also switched up my top coat on this one...I normally swear by Seche Vite but I'm running low so I've been using my Deborah Lippmann Addicted to Speed top coat lately and I am IN LOVE. It's still super shiny, slightly thick and it dries WICKED fast. Like faster than the Seche even.  I might have an expensive addiction on my hands!! I hope you enjoyed these nails! :) Thanks for following!

Use it or lose it...

This has been my life for the past oh...week and a half or so.  Polish sorting.  I HATE polish sorting. I also love polish sorting because I find all sorts of great things I had forgotten I had.  I also find out things like I have three of the same exact color. Fail.  The thing is, even with a spreadsheet it's still hard to keep track of nearly 1,000 polishes. Not only that but it's frankly overwhelming.  Many of these I have never used.  Many of them I WILL never use.  Others I use all the time.  On the whole I find myself reaching for the same colors most of the time.  I'm not sure if that's because those colors are the ones I remember I have most often, because they're my favorites, or just because they're already out of the helmer which means no digging!  So I have laid down some new rules for 2013.  If I don't, haven't and won't use a polish...it's out.  Already I have listed quite a few on my blog sale page.  Most of them are polishes I've never used once or those that I used once and didn't care for or didn't go back to for whatever reason.  You can HELP ME!! Help me get rid of all these polishes I'm not using and give them good homes. :)  My goal is to get to ONE helmer (God help me) and then to maintain that helmer.  No new ones til old ones are out.  I'm not sure how well I'll be able to stick to that...I already have quite a few pretties coming in the mail.  But here's hoping!

Do you have an overwhelming stash?

Did you miss-a-me?

Today is my last day of vacation at home!! Tomorrow I will be headed to a bunch of places (we're doing a mini-vacation in a few places!) so I thought I'd post some nails to tide you over :P  I have a couple of things set to auto-upload but if I know blogger...and I DO know blogger...they'll never actually post.  I'll be back Sunday with new and exciting things!  These nails were inspired by a Missoni for Target dress I snagged a few weeks back (when they actually still had them!).  It's also my first frankened polish because out of all the nail polish I own it seems I don't have one rusty orangy redish one. :P  The polish on the thumb is the franken.  It was actually pretty fun mixing the colors together so it's possible more frankening is in my future.  Stash photos are to come at some point this week and it's out. of. control.  After spending HOURS swatching and numbering and organizing (I'm still not done) I've decided to cut back on the polish buying for awhile. There are a few on my wishlist but nothing serious. :)  Today I've also reached 100 followers!! So I just want to give a HUGE thank you to my followers, new and old, I love sharing with you and I've learned a lot from your feedback. :)  I haven't decided if I'll do a giveaway or not for several reasons.  The most important is that I started this blog for myself to have a place to post my passion and see how I'm improving.  I'm so excited and happy to share it with people who are passionate about the same thing and I'd like to think that you're all following along because you feel the same.  I hate the idea that someone is following me just to win something free and not because they really enjoy what I'm doing.  It's also just a really big hassle to get a giveaway together and get it shipped out.  I have A LOT of swapping going on right now and it's getting overwhelming.  And the final reason is that I've learned recently that there may be legal implications to having a giveaway.  So I'm still thinking it over and I'll let all of you know what I decide.  But thank you anyway for following along with me.  I really appreciate having you along for the ride! :)

*Side note: I've added a Blog Sale tab to my page.  If you could check it out and see if anything catches your eye that would be great. I'm trying to clear out some polish I don't use and I'd love for it to go to some polish lovers like yourselves! :)*
